Gente De Zona - El Animal         Gente de Zona (literalmente barrio de personas) es el más popular grupo de reggaeton en Cuba. Con su primer álbum y dos grandes éxitos musicales, son hoy de gira el mundo. Gente de Zona es un trío compuesto por el fundador y director Música: Alexander Delgado (Ale), Yosdany y Fernando Otero. Gente de Zona se inició en 2000, cuando Delgado estaba tratando de poner juntos varios raperos cubanos en su barrio de Alamar. Él vino con el nombre de "Gente de Zona" (la gente del vecindario). Gente de Zona is a trio composed of the founder and chief songwriter: Alexander Delgado (Ale), Yosdany and Fernando Otero. Gente de Zona started back in 2000, when Delgado was trying to bring various rappers together in his Cuban neighbourhood of Alamar. He came up with the name "Gente de Zona" (neighborhood people). Delgado then met Michel "el Caro" and the two of them started playing parties and official venues in Havana neighbourhoods where hip hop was big — Guanabacoa and Regla, but especially on their home turf, Alamar. In 2005 Michel's departure allowed Gente de Zona to evolve into the trio they are today: Alexander was joined by Yosdany and Fernando Otero. 2005 was also the year Gente de Zona recorded its first album, and scored a hit single with "Pa’ la Gente de Mi Zona". For a long time it was impossible to watch the Cubavision TV channel without seeing Gente de Zona playing either "Soñe" or “La Campana”, two other hits. Gente de Zona are known for making reggaeton more interesting – and more Cuban. Success didn’t come easily or quickly for Gente de Zona.
